Republican leaders are already on thin ice with Tea Party leaders before their incoming majority even takes the oath of office. Activists are upset that various GOP lawmakers cut deals with Democrats on tax cuts, an arms-control treaty with Russia, the repeal of Don't Ask Don't Tell, and a bill providing health care to 9/11 first responders rather than fight Democrats to the end. "Do I think they've recognized what happened on Election Day? I would say decisively no," Mark Meckler, co-founder of the Tea Party Patriots told The New York Times.
