If Ted Cruz wants the party establishment to coalesce around his candidacy in order to take down Donald Trump, he'll need to go to the Senate and apologize to Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, CNN reported Tuesday. After speaking with several senior Republicans—including Sens. John Thune and John Cornyn—the cable outlet revealed that party leaders would like to see Cruz offer a mea culpa for calling McConnell a "liar" last year on the floor of the Senate. "It's always helpful when you admit you're wrong," Sen. Orrin Hatch said.
