Ted Haggard is going Hollywood. The former pastor of the mega New Life Church in Colorado Springs, is set to appear in an upcoming “Christian sex comedy.” Two Colorado Springs men are hoping to raise $2 million to shoot The Waiting Game, which they describe as a pro-abstinence take on Judd Apatow films like The 40 Year Old Virgin. As Haggard warns in the (unfunny) trailer, you “shouldn’t just do what you want to do.” Whether anybody should be taking advice from Haggard, who admitted in 2006 to having had a sexual relationship with a former male escort, is a matter open to debate.
