A 17-year-old boy brutally beaten in an upstate New York church will testify about the ordeal, which also killed his older brother. Christopher Leonard has been released from the hospital and is expected to testify against half-sister Sarah Ferguson, one of six church members arrested in the incident. Ferguson and three others are charged with assault while the boys’ parents are charged with manslaughter. As The Daily Beast previously reported, the secretive church has fewer than two dozen members, most of whom are members of a couple of families. Some former members describe it as a cult.
