Upstart Tavi Gevinson, the self-described “tiny 13-year-old dork that sits inside all day wearing awkward jackets and pretty hats,” whose fashion blog Style Rookie has taken the industry by storm, is preparing to launch a new teen girl magazine. After expressing her admiration for the now-defunct magazine Sassy, former Sassy editor Jane Pratt contacted Gevinson and initiated talks to launch a new magazine geared toward an “wallflowery teenage girls.” The teenage sensation is now accepting applications for contributors, as well as suggestions for potential magazine names.
