A 14-year-old boy was charged Wednesday in the murder of Danvers High School teacher Colleen Ritzer, Essex County, and a judge ruled he will be tried as an adult. Ritzer’s body was found Tuesday night in the woods near the high school, she had been reported missing earlier when she didn’t return home from school. “She was a very, very respected, loved teacher,” said Essex County District Attorney Jonathan Blodgett. Police said the suspect was found wandering along Route 1 at 12:30 a.m. on Wednesday. Blodgett said they had no reason to believe there were any other suspects.
