Teen Girls Deny Kitten Torture

Two teenage girls from South Portland, Maine, claim they did not intend to harm a kitten by putting it in the microwave and then posting the video on social media. The two 15-year-olds are being charged with a felony after positing a Vine video of one girl putting the kitten in the microwave, starting it, and the other girl taking it out. “They were just doing something they thought was funny. They wanted to make movies. They were playing…I think they didn’t understand what took place here,” the girls' attorney said. After posting the video, the two received death threats, were encouraged to kill themselves, have their ovaries removed, and be "slowly cut and bled to death."
