Teen drivers may need instructions more explicit than 10-and-2—like don’t try to hold your breath until you pass out. Nineteen-year-old Daniel J. Calhon caused a three-vehicle crash when he tried to hold his breath while going through a tunnel in western Oregon on Sunday afternoon and fainted behind the wheel. His 1990 Toyota Camry crashed head-on with a 2013 Ford Explorer, and then a 1999 GMC Pickup hit the Camry. In total, four people were injured, including Calhon and his passenger, though none fatally. Oregon State Police have cited Calhon for reckless driving, recklessly endangering three other people, and assault.
