Teens Beat WWII Vet to Death

Spokane police are actively looking for two teenagers they say were involved in the death of 88-year-old World War II veteran, Delbert Belton, who was fatally beaten outside the Eagles Lodge on Wednesday night. Officials said they responded to a call, found Belton in his car with serious head injuries, and rushed him to the hospital where he died soon after. There is no known motive for the attack on Belton, also known as “Shorty,” who friends described as “a tough old bird.”
