A runaway 16-year-old boy, Francisco Sanchez Ibarra, took a red Ford F350 from an autobody shop and proceeded on a nearly four-hour joy ride that caused 23 accidents and brought traffic in West Bradenton and Anna Maria Island in Florida to a standstill. At one point, police officers were forced to give up the chase as Ibarra drove into oncoming traffic on the Manatee Avenue Bridge. Ibarra was finally arrested after the truck came to a stop after flat tires from stop sticks.
