Denver residents enjoyed a pleasant temperature of 69 degrees Sunday only to be plunged into the bitter cold just 40 hours later—when it fell to minus 3. The temperature swing has been ranked among the top 20 such weather changes for Denver since records began in 1872, according to the National Weather Service. It also tied for the eighth biggest temperature drop seen in a period of less than two days.
