Ten people on a river cruise in the Russian soccer World Cup host city of Volgograd have died after their boat collided with a tugboat. Emergency services were alerted late Monday after the vessels collided on the Volga River about 1 km from land. All 16 people on board the pleasure cruise were Russian, local authorities said. One person is still missing and five were rescued, with three of them now in hospital. A search operation is underway and an investigation has been opened into the cause of the crash. The World Cup begins Thursday and the first game in Volgograd will be between England and Tunisia on June 18.
