Teresa Heinz Kerry was released from a Boston-area rehabilitation center on Saturday, nearly three weeks after suffering a seizure in Nantucket. “It was amazing, a miracle,” said the 74-year-old, who is expected to make a full recovery. Heinz Kerry will return to her civics duties after some outpatient treatment and a “period of rest.” She was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2009 and has undergone surgery and radiation treatments. A spokesman for her husband, U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry, Glen Johnson, said that the cause of the seizure has not yet been determined.
