Terrence Howard: My Wife Threatened Me

Empire actor Terrence Howard cried in court Friday as he told a judge that his ex-wife, Michelle Ghent, tried to blackmail him to get him to sign divorce settlement papers in 2012. Howard—who admitted to being unfaithful to Ghent with multiple women—is trying to get the settlement overturned on the grounds that he signed the documents under duress. He accused Ghent of threatening to leak details about his sex life, including audio and video recordings. He also maintained that he gave Ghent a black eye only out of self-defense. Ghent denies any blackmail attempt and has accused Howard of domestic violence several times.
