A Texas man who fled to North Korea, denounced the U.S. for its imperialistic ways, its “sociopathic” billionaires, and its UFO's. In a Sunday press conference before the North Korean government, Arturo Martinez of El Paso, Texas slammed his homeland for acting “much like a Mafia enterprise... without a code of ethics.” He also claimed the CIA was involved in the cocaine industry and creating “ultrasonic” voices that make people feel discomfort and pain. Martinez's mother said he is bipolar and had talked about going to North Korea before he left in November. He previously tried to swim across a river into North Korea, but was apprehended and sent back to a psychiatric hospital in the U.S. She said that according to a press statement from North Korea, her son will be returning home. However, his legal status is unclear, and it is uncertain if he is allowed to return.
