Texans Win First Playoff Game Ever

The Houston Texans played as if they were playoff veterans even though it was only their first post-season game ever—and it led to their first-ever playoff win, after a 31–10 trouncing of the Cincinnati Bengals. Arian Foster rushed for 153 yards and two touchdowns for the Texans while Bengals quarterback Andy Dalton threw three interceptions to end Cincinnati's chances. The Texans will next face the Baltimore Ravens in the AFC. Meanwhile in the NFC wild-card game, the New Orleans Saints beat the Detroit Lions in a 45–28 shootout. Saints quarterback Drew Brees threw for 466 yards, enough to overcome Lions receiver Calvin Johnson hauling in 211 yards and two touchdowns. The Saints will take on the San Francisco 49ers next.
