Texas state health investigators arrived at Planned Parenthood centers Thursday in Houston, Dallas, San Antonio and Brownsville to take thousands of pages of records, including patient records and employee home addresses and telephone numbers. Many of the records the state ordered Planned Parenthood to turn in pertained to abortion. Planned Parenthood South Texas was told to turn over five years of records for abortion patients billed to Medicaid in which the fetus was used for research purposes. Texas Gov. Greg Abbott cut off Medicaid funding for Planned Parenthood three days before ordering the clinics to turn over records.
