Texas Ebola Nurse to Sue Employer

Texas nurse Nina Pham, who contracted and survived Ebola last year after caring for an infected patient at Texas Health Presbyterial Hospital Dallas, is planning to file a lawsuit against the parent company of the hospital. Pham claims the hospital failed her and her colleagues by not developing policies or training its staff on how to treat Ebola patients. She also says the hospital did not have proper protective gear. The hospital responded to news of the impending lawsuit with a statement saying, “Nina Pham bravely served Texas Health Dallas during a most difficult time. We continue to support and wish the best for her, and we remain optimistic that constructive dialogue can resolve this matter.”
