An inmate in Texas who gained Internet fame this month for penning a letter to Gawker was executed Wednesday night. Ray Jasper was convicted for the murder and robbery of recording-studio owner David Alejandro in 1998. Jasper's letter to Gawker garnered 1.7 million views, but was criticized for not telling the full tale. A subsequent letter from the victim's brother was later posted.
