Texas Cop Killed in Firefight With Barricaded Gunman

A police officer was shot and killed in West Texas on Thursday after law enforcement responded to a call about an armed man. The Levelland, Texas man barricaded himself in a house and exchanged fire with the police. Sgt. Josh Bartlett, a Lubbock County Sheriff’s deputy, was struck in the shootout and died at a Lubbock hospital. Three other officers were wounded, two critically. The gunman has not been identified, and it is unclear if the he has been apprehended.
