Thai PM: Tourists in Bikinis Unsafe

Thailand’s new military ruler, Prime Minister Prayut Chan-O-Cha, claimed Westerners wearing bikinis may not be safe in Thailand in the wake of the murder of two Britons. “There are always problems with tourist safety. They think our country is beautiful and is safe so they can do whatever they want, they can wear bikinis and walk everywhere,” he said. “Can they be safe in bikinis... unless they are not beautiful?” This is not the first time Prayut has suggested that the victims were to blame for their demise. David Miller, 24, and Hannah Witheridge, 23, were found dead on the island of Koh Tao on Monday.
