1. Berlin: Lido Wannsee
Berlin has long been the best place for naturists in Europe, and those wanting to wear the bare minimum for the summer are really spoilt for choice.
One of the most popular spots is a small beach on Wannsee, a lake in the south of the city surrounded by forest, where you can be sure to find a cluster of adults, children, locals, and tourists swimming into the vast green lake.
There are also a few restaurants hidden in the woods and a long walk around the lake. Naturism is nothing unusual in Berlin, from the parks to public swimming pools and, as this is a public space, clothing is of course optional.
2. Cap d’Agde
The French coast offers a variety of options when it comes to nudist spots. Perhaps the most famous is Cap d’Agde, where there is a popular nudist campsite that has risqué entertainment at night.
What’s nice about this particular spot, apart from the long sandy beaches littered with sun-kissed bodies, is the new deluxe accommodations, offering a private lawn and jacuzzi so you can get your kit off in style.
3. Vera Playa, Spain
This resort in southeast Spain dubs itself as the only year-round nudist resort in Europe, and, more importantly, the best nudist resort in the world.
It often makes top 10 lists for naturists. Highlights include 2,000 holiday homes for naturists, endless sand, and a temperate climate. It also makes a welcome break from the mass tourism so prevalent in Spain.
4. SunEden Naturist Resort, South Africa
An hour from Johannesburg sits this naturist resort where bird watching is one of the many activities offered in the nude.
Being naked is mandatory at this oft top-voted naturist resort. Sun Eden is located on a 35-hectare farm, and both cottages and camping are on offer at this kid-friendly resort that has its own bar and pool deep in the bush.
5. Domaine Le Clols, France
It has been voted as one of the top five naturist spots in Europe and, from its spot overlooking the Pyrenees, close to the Spanish border, it accommodates adults and families to enjoy a holiday in the nude.
The site, which also features inexpensive camping options, sits on 153 acres and is considered to be a naturist paradise. One can even play tennis or indulge in a spot of naked art classes, or just hang by the pool.
6. Spielplatz, Britain
Hidden in the woods in Hertfordshire is the oldest naturist colony in Britain, or an entire village dedicated to the art of living naked.
The subject of a British TV series, there are around three dozen full time households here, as well as an extra two dozen holiday homes rented out to visitors. The locals have their own clubhouse and pub where beer is served by a naked barman.
7. Scant in Scandinavia
Scandinavia is a naturists’ paradise. Sweden has over 70 nudist beaches, with Norway offering around 20. Rumor has it that you can even swim in front of the town hall in Stockholm in the nude.

8. Recanto Paraiso, Rio di Janeiro, Brazil
This resort has been voted one of the top five naturist spots in the world many times, and is also one of the biggest naturist resorts in Brazil, applauded for its lush scenery and mountain views.
It has a reputation for being a community-type place, and some of the wonderful photos show beautiful pools set in green foliage that looks like the perfect escape from the Rio sprawl.
9. Bali Au Natural, Bali, Indonesia
Features of this Bali location include sunbathing naked on the black sand as well as snorkeling and diving at this (reputedly romantic) getaway that combines traditional architecture with modern touches.
The resort boasts the fact that it is gay-owned and offers everything from naked snooker to fine dining.
10. Hidden Beach Resort, Mexico
Nudism is still illegal in some states in the U.S., but the Hidden Beach Resort allows guests to get their kit off as soon as they check in.
Forget wild camping in Sweden, this place is billed as a luxury nudist escape. Drink champagne, take a naked painting class. The resort is situated on the Riviera Mayam and is adult-only.
