‘The Hills’ Returning to MTV for ‘New Beginnings’ Reboot

Comeback confirmed during the VMAs.

The Hills is back. During Monday night’s MTV Video Music Awards, the network announced one of its biggest-ever reality shows will be returning in 2019 with a new name: The Hills: New Beginnings. The teaser trailer didn’t give much away, except that its theme, “Unwritten” by Natasha Bedingfield, will be sticking around. Some original cast members—Audrina Patridge, Spencer and Heidi Pratt, and Spencer’s sister Stephanie—hit the red carpet at the awards. MTV said the new show will reunite some of the original cast members “alongside their children and friends, and follow their personal and professional lives while living in Los Angeles.” The original series aired on MTV between 2006 and 2010.
