‘The Hobbit’ Wins the Weekend, Again

Peter Jackson’s The Hobbit held on to win its third straight weekend at the box office, pulling in $21.9 million. That haul brought the movie past the $200 million mark domestically. The trilogy’s final installment beat Into the Woods, which brought in $19.1 million, and Unbroken, which pulled in $18.4 million. The fourth spot was taken by a new film, Woman in Black 2: Angel of Death, with $15.1 million. Overall revenue was up more than 8 percent for the holiday weekend over last year.
