Dictionaries have never looked this cool. Meet Wordnik, a dictionary, thesaurus, encyclopedia, and OED—all in one. It contains more than 1.7 million words, and 130 million examples, as it culls words from the major dictionaries, and features real-time usages of the word from Twitter. According to Founder and CEO Erin McKean, Wordnik aims to answer the question: "How is this word used?" The answer, however, is often open to the public, as interactive features allow users to add comments on words. According to McKean, the goal of Wordnik is simple: "to have as much information about as many words as possible available to as many people as possible. That's the perfect dictionary."
