We guess billionaires have better things to do with their time: Nikki Finke reports at Deadline Hollywood that American Idol’s producers wanted, but couldn’t snag, David Geffen to replace Simon Cowell on the show. Geffen founded both Asylum and Geffen Records, which have signed artists like Bob Dylan, John Lennon, and Nirvana. “It would have been his if he'd wanted it," a source tells Finke. "Because Cowell is a bad imitation of David." But, when approached about the job, Geffen allegedly asked, "Why should I do this?"
