When Ted Kennedy was ambulanced away from Obama’s inauguration lunch, he was accompanied by his longtime and unlikely friend, Utahan Republican Senator Orrin Hatch. Shortly after Kennedy’s diagnosis, Hatch penned a song for him called “Heading Home.” "He's a special person to me. I want to honor him this way," Hatch said of his friend, with whom he had served in the Senate for 32 years.
