Three Attacks Hit Egypt

As a political stalemate and sky-high tension deadlock Egypt, opposition groups escalated attacks against the military-backed administration with a string of three attacks on Monday after a bloody crackdown by government troops on protestors killed 53 the day before. A drive-by shooting killed six soldiers, a car bomb killed two police officers, and a rock-propelled grenade damaged a satellite transmitter in a wealthy area of Cairo. Experts say the anti-government backlash might have reached a level impossible to reign in by Muslim Brotherhood leadership.
