Federal prosecutors announced on Friday that three men had been arrested in connection with an alleged ISIS-inspired plot to target New York City concerts, landmarks, and subways in 2016. Acting U.S. Attorney Joon H. Kim said that Abdulrahman El Bahnasawy, a 19-year-old Canadian citizen, Talha Haroon, a 19-year-old U.S. citizen based in Pakistan and Russell Salic, a 37-year-old Philippines citizen were all arrested on terror-related charges. El Bahnasawy was reportedly detained in May of 2016 after traveling to New Jersey. Haroon was arrested in Pakistan and Salic, who allegedly wired money to fund the attack, was arrested in his home country.
