Police in San Francisco are searching for at least one gunman who opened fire at a popular Mission District park Thursday afternoon, injuring three people and sending hundreds fleeing a recreation area “packed with kids, packed with people.” Witnesses told the San Francisco Chronicle a group of men with faces covered by bandannas began shouting from a bridge at Dolores Park before being confronted over their behavior by a few park regulars. At least one of the men on the bridge responded by firing several rounds at park visitors, sending panicked families fleeing. One of the victims was left in critical condition, while another was treated and released. Details on the third victim’s condition are being withheld because he’s a minor. Police have not yet arrested a suspect, and no details have been provided on a motive.
