Three Judges Shot in China

VIOLENCE

Gun attacks rare in country.

More violence in China made headlines Tuesday, as a man shot dead three judges in a Hunan province court before turning the gun on himself. The shooter, Zhu Jun, was head of security at a post office, and reportedly attained the weapons from a colleague after saying he needed to inspect them. Shootings are rare in China because few people actually have access to firearms. The country has recently had a series of knife attacks that have left 17 people dead and many more injured. Zhu was reportedly angry at the court for the way it divided his wealth when he divorced his wife three years ago.
