At least three people were killed as powerful storms and tornadoes ripped through the Deep South on Tuesday. Officials in Lamar County, Mississippi, confirmed one death as the result of the storms that hit the area while two more deaths were reported in southern Louisiana after a tornado tore through an RV park in Convent. Reports said at least 15 tornadoes were spotted in Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama as of 8 p.m. Tuesday, according to the Storm Prediction Center. Alabama and Mississippi were also under states of emergency Tuesday night due to severe storms.
