Three people were killed Tuesday in a domestic-related shooting near Salt Lake City, authorities said. Authorities said there was no further danger to the public after the incident in the town of Sandy, as the gunman was among the deceased. The victims have not yet been identified, but police said a woman and a boy were among the dead, and two children were wounded. One of them was described as in critical condition late Tuesday. Details were scarce on what triggered the violence, but Police Sgt. Jason Nielsen said the gunman opened fire on a woman and children inside a vehicle before suffering fatal gunshot wounds himself. It was not clear if he killed himself or if someone else involved had a gun, police said. The attack unfolded about a half a mile from an elementary school, prompting school officials to announce a lockdown.
