Three Storms Gain Steam in Atlantic

Hurricane Katia and Tropical Storm Maria have a friend in town. Tropical Storm Nate currently has winds of 45mph and is “stationary” in the Bay of Campeche near Mexico. The National Hurricane Center expects the storm to go north and eventually turn into a Category 1 hurricane as early as tomorrow. Model projections expect Nate to hit the southern part of Mexico near Brownsville, Texas, but then potentially move toward U.S. oil rigs in the Gulf of Mexico.
