Tiger Shoots 4-Under, Faces Hecklers

Plane banner asks about 'bootyism.'

After a five-month hiatus and a sex scandal that rocked the golfing world, Woods hit the green as if he had never left. The four-time Masters champion hit 3-under on the front side, including a 10-foot eagle at the par-5 No. 8—accompanied by his first fist pump of the day. His solid play is not to say he completely escaped his personal troubles. A small plane wielding a banner read, "Tiger: Did you mean bootyism?" in reference to Woods' claim that his stray from Buddhism led to his personal problems. A second banner flew overhead later: "Sex Addict? Yeah Right Dupe Me, Too." But Tiger had his share of supporters along with the detractors: One fan yelled "Make us proud!"
