The end of an era. Jim Leyland, who managed the Detroit Tigers for eight seasons, will not be coming back to the team in 2014. Leyland led the Tigers to two World Series, and narrowly missed returning this postseason. After the team recorded the most losses in American League history in 2003 and failed to find success, Jim Leyland was brought on in the fall of 2005 to right the ship. In his eight years with the Tigers, Leyland went 700-597. In his 22-year career, he won a championship with the Florida Marlins in 1997 and compiled 1,769 wins total.
