TikToker Caleb Graves died on Sunday after competing in Disneyland’s Halloween Half Marathon in southern California, reports said. He was 35. The area was experiencing a brutal heatwave at the time of the race on Sunday, which likely contributed to his death. “The race started at 5 a.m., I don’t know what start wave he was in but he crossed the finish line at approximately 7 a.m.,” Anaheim Police Sgt. Matt Sutter told People. “As soon as he crossed the finish line, he started grabbing his chest. One of the workers noticed and ran up to him and caught him before he collapsed,” he added. Coincidentally, the day before the race, Graves took to his TikTok account (@calebgtravels) to express doubt about competing in the race because of the heat. “I have maybe some susceptibility, I don’t know if it’s temporary or long term, to heat,” Graves said in the video. He then recalls a time he experienced heat exhaustion and “passed out” asleep with “no control over my body.” “I don’t know what's going on, but I really hope I get through the race tomorrow morning,” Graves said at the end of his video.
