Tim Burton has been selected to serve as jury prexy at the Cannes Film Festival in May. The Edward Scissorhands and Beetlejuice director was at Cannes in 1995 when his film, Ed Wood, was selected for the competition. Later this year, his 3D adaptation of Alice in Wonderland will come out and MoMA is currently hosting a major exhibition of his work. "After spending my early life watching triple features and 48-hour horror movie marathons, I'm finally ready for this," Burton said.
