Discovery Communication’s TLC channel has acquired the production rights to Sarah Palin’s Alaska at an expected cost of more than $1 million an episode—how much of that is for her wardrobe? The eight-episode nature/travel documentary—produced by Mark Burnett, the man behind Survivor and other hit reality shows—will be narrated by Palin (who’s also a Fox News contributor). TLC has not yet announced a premiere date because the series has not started filming. The program will “reveal Alaska’s powerful beauty as it has never been filmed, and as told by one of the state’s proudest daughters,” a Discovery executive said in a statement.
