Rapper Meek Mill is due to visit the White House on Friday to discuss prison reform, according to TMZ. It was not immediately clear whether he’ll be meeting with President Trump, but sources cited by the news outlet say the rapper has been contacted by other celebrities cautioning him against the visit. Mill has been outspoken in calling for reforms of the justice system after his release from jail late last month. The rapper was sentenced to up to four years behind bars for allegedly violating probation from a decade-old conviction on gun and drug charges. He spent five months in jail before Pennsylvania’s Supreme Court ordered he be granted bail. His arrest got nationwide attention, with many celebrities saying it exposed flaws in the country’s justice system.
