Rep. Maxine Waters’ (D-CA) district office received a package Tuesday with “anthrax” written on it, TMZ reports. The office has been evacuated, and hazmat teams are reportedly “on the scene checking out the package.” The Los Angeles Police Department and L.A. Fire Department are investigating. This comes after Waters received a death threat for encouraging the heckling of Trump administration officials shortly after White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders was asked to leave a Virginia restaurant. TMZ reports that there was a protest outside her office last week and demonstrators burned American flags. Another member of Congress, Sen. Mark Warner (D-VA) had his regional office attacked by a man who threw a brick through the front window on Monday.
