Spiderman attached to project portraying Chicago chef’s life story.
Tobey Maguire—Spiderman I, II, III, and IV—is rumored to be attached to a biopic about Grant Achatz, 35, the chef at Chicago’s Alinea, with David Dobkin—Wedding Crashers, Fred Claus—directing. The film, tentatively titled Taste, will be based in Achatz’s forthcoming memoir, Life on the Line, which chronicles his time working with über-chefs Thomas Keller and Charlie Trotter, his experience opening his own restaurant, and most recently his battle with tongue cancer, the treatment of which left him without the ability to taste. Achatz won the 2008 James Beard Award for Outstanding Chef.
