Mexico’s second-most-important elected official was killed Friday after a helicopter crash, the president’s office has confirmed. There were eight people aboard the helicopter, including Secretary of the Interior Francisco Blake Mora, and there were no survivors. None of the other passengers has been named, but there are believed to have been some government officials on board. One of Mora’s predecessors, Juan Camilo Mouriño, was killed in a plane crash in Mexico City in 2008.
