Tornadoes in Wisconsin and Oklahoma Kill 2, Injure Dozens of Others
At least one person was killed and another 25 were injured Tuesday after a tornado tore through western Wisconsin, authorities said. The tornado touched down in the town of Chetek at about 5:30 p.m. and severely damaged a trailer park, where search operations were continuing on Tuesday night. Tornado warnings were in effect throughout northern and western Wisconsin as severe thunderstorms passed through the area. Separately, one person was killed in western Oklahoma when a tornado hit a subdivision on the outskirts of Elk City, destroying about 40 homes and damaging dozens of others. School officials have canceled classes for Wednesday in light of the storm.
