Trayvon Martin’s parents are writing a book, which will publish in January—nearly five years after the teen died in Florida when he was shot by George Zimmerman. Zimmerman’s acquittal sparked protests all over the country. The book, Rest in Power: The Enduring Life of Trayvon Martin, will hit shelves on Jan. 31. Tracy Martin and Sybrina Fulton’s book is to be edited by Christoper Jackson, of Random House’s One World imprint. “It first brings Trayvon back to life as the full, three-dimensional, complex kid he was, through his parents’ eyes,” Jackson said. “Everyone who’s been reading the manuscript is in tears by the second chapter.”
