Trump, 80, Creeps on Male MAGA Senator, 59, in Wild Outburst

The president clearly liked what he saw.

President Donald Trump has bizarrely thirsted over the body of a male MAGA senator during a midterm rally.

Trump, 80, attended a rally in Youngstown, Ohio, on Monday evening to lend his support for Senator Jon Husted and gubernatorial candidate Vivek Ramaswamy.

During his speech, the president praised Husted and admitted he didn’t know about his past playing football for the University of Dayton, where he earned All-American recognition as a defensive back and kick returner.

Husted entered politics in 2000, becoming the Lieutenant Governor of Ohio in 2019. He was appointed to the U.S. Senate in January 2025 to fill the seat vacated by JD Vance.

“He was a great athlete,” Trump said of Husted, then revealed how he had inspected his body during a previous meeting.

“I don’t do this with men very often, I started examining his body, because I didn’t know he was a great athlete,” Trump began to tell the MAGA crowd.

“And I looked, and I watched up and down, and I looked at his a-- ... and I looked at the whole... and then I looked at his hands, look at his hands, he’s got these, like, claws... and I got it, you are a great athlete.”

Trump added, “I didn’t know that, because he doesn’t talk about that. Congratulations, now they finally know.”

Trump admitted he had been made aware of Husted’s football career by former NFL coach Jon Gruden, who introduced the president at Monday’s rally.

The president said Gruden told him he had attended a previous rally in Ohio to support Husted, as they used to be teammates. Husted was “the best player on the team,” Gruden told Trump.

“He’s one of the most respected men in Washington, already, he hasn’t been there that long,” Trump said of Husted.

“Today I watched him on the plane coming in, ranting and ripping, he’s becoming a different man, now that we find out he was a great athlete,” Trump said, impressed.

Later in his speech, Trump again circled back to gush over Husted’s looks.

The president began by crediting Husted with the Pentagon’s selection of Cleveland as the location for a new plant to repair and manufacture key submarine parts.

After reading details off the script, Trump told Husted, “Stand up, Jon, that was your deal.”

As the senator left his seat to applause, Trump continued to glance at Husted, and nodded his head in approval.

“Look at that jawline, I’m telling you,” Trump said of Husted.

“I never saw that, I never studied him, and now I study him. I say ‘Why was he such a good footballer?’ Look at the jawline, he’s tough as hell.”

Trump then returned to the autocue.

Trump has already appeared at two rallies in Ohio this month, as Husted battles to keep his seat.

Democrat Sherrod Brown was six points ahead of Husted in a CNN poll conducted between Sept. 29 to Oct. 5. The same poll had Trump’s approval with Ohio voters at a dismal 36 percent, with 64 percent of those polled disapproving of his performance.

The Daily Beast has contacted reps for Husted for comment.
