A week after announcing a massive expansion of U.S. offshore oil drilling, the Trump administration on Tuesday granted an exemption for Florida after the state’s governor, Rick Scott, protested, citing environmental concerns. Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke said drilling would be “off the table” off Florida’s coast, a major concession to Scott, who is contemplating a U.S. Senate bid.
