The Trump administration is appealing to the Supreme Court to challenge lower-court rulings on the president’s controversial travel ban executive order. The Justice Department on Monday asked the Supreme Court to issue a stay on a lower court ruling that scrapped a ban on some refugees, but did not ask for a stay on an appeals court ruling that exempts grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins of American citizens from the travel ban that targets six Muslim-majority countries.
