Trump Administration to Challenge Travel Ban Rulings at Supreme Court
Lower courts have dismantled key parts of the president’s executive order.

The Trump administration is appealing to the Supreme Court to challenge lower-court rulings on the president’s controversial travel ban executive order. The Justice Department on Monday asked the Supreme Court to issue a stay on a lower court ruling that scrapped a ban on some refugees, but did not ask for a stay on an appeals court ruling that exempts grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins of American citizens from the travel ban that targets six Muslim-majority countries.
