Leandro Rizzuto Jr., the Trump nominee to serve as ambassador of Barbados and “several other Caribbean countries,” spread conspiracy theories about Trump’s opponents during the 2016 election, CNN reported Monday. Rizzuto, who is also a top executive at Conair, tweeted and retweeted conspiratorial theories about Ted Cruz, Scott Walker, and John Kasich. Rizzuto alleged that Ted Cruz was being unfaithful to his wife Heidi Cruz, and that she was a “leading member in an effort to combine the governments of the US, Canada and Mexico.” He also called Hillary Clinton “a terrorist with amnesia,” and said that Cruz should “go back to Canada.” The archived tweets were found in Google cache and social-media ranking site Favstar.
