Trump Breaks GOP Small-Donor Records

In less than three months.

Donald Trump has nabbed an “unprecedented” number of small-donor contributions for the Republican Party during his presidential bid, Politico reported. The candidate has been fundraising for only a few months, but numbers, which will be released this week, will allegedly show that he has outraised John McCain and Mitt Romney’s numbers of small donors for the full length of their presidential campaigns. In about three months, he has raised nearly $100 million from those who have gifted less than $200 each, Politico reports. “I’ve never seen anything like this,” a senior Republican operative said. “He’s the Republican Obama in terms of online fundraising.”
